JUST ENOUGH KOREAN BEAN SPROUTS

Its easy to eat healthy and eat fresh with Taro Brand Just Enough- Fresh cut and prepared vegetables and fruits. We make cooking easy as you will see with this simple Korean bean sprout salad or namul as we refer to it in Hawaii.

Blanch Bean Sprouts
2 packages Taro Brand Just Enough Mung or Bean Sprouts
2 tablespoons Hawaiian salt
2 cups Water, boiling

 

Seasoning
1/4 teaspoon Hawaiian salt (adjust to your personal preference)
1/4 teaspoon Aloha shoyu
1 teaspoon sesame oil
1/2 clove garlic, minced
2 teaspoons green onion, thin sliced
1/2 teaspoon sesame seeds (optional)
dash black pepper

 

Blanch
Boil water on high heat and add salt. Once water reaches boiling, blanch sprouts for 1 minute and rinse immediately in ice-cold water. Gently squeeze remaining liquid from sprouts. Add Hawaiian salt, shoyu, green onion, sesame oil, garlic, sesame seeds and pepper. Mix gently and chill.
