CHOCOLATE CHOCOLATE CHIP PEPPERMINT

Another easy Do-It-Yourself Gift Jar idea using Taro Brand Chocolate Chip Pancake mix. This is a Chocolate-Chocolate Chip Peppermint pancake gift jar that you can give away as a perfect DIY gift for the holidays or any occassion!
Ingredients For Gift Jar
2 6 ounce packages Taro Brand taro chocolate chip pancake mix
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 cup peppermint candies or candy canes, crushed
Ingredients To Add
1 cup milk
1 egg
1 teaspoon peppermint extract
4 tablespoons butter, melted
Topping
Whipped cream
Chocolate syrup
crushed peppermint candies
Pancake Gift Jar Assembly
Add pancake mix into jar, then layer sugar, baking powder, then cocoa powder. Top with whole peppermint candies. Seal jar and wrap or dress with ribbon. You will give this away as your gift
Instructions To Make Pancakes
Remove peppermint candies from jar and place in a plastic bag. Crush candies into small bits and set aside to use as a garnish before serving. Pour contents of gift jar into large bowl. Add milk, egg, peppermint extract and butter and mix well. Cook on buttered skillet until batter starts bubbling and is firm enough to flip. Cook on each side for 2-3 minutes. Serve with melted butter and garnish with whipped cream, crushed peppermint candies and chocolate syrup!
