BEAN SPROUTS AND SPAM STIRFRY
Spam and bean sprouts is one of those feel-good comfort dishes that is easy to make and is always a welcome meal. Sometimes eating simple takes us back to growing up in Hawaii… eating meals that were passed down from our grandparents to our parents and now to this generation.
Ingredients:
1 can spam, sliced thinly
1-2 packages soy or mung sprouts*
1 tablespoon sesame oil
1 teaspoon Aloha Shoyu
1 teaspoon oyster sauce
pepper to taste
*additional items may be added: Taro Brand Just Enough chopped onions, carrots, bell peppers
Slice spam in thin slices. Heat sauce pan or wok with sesame oil over medium high heat. Cook spam until golden brown. Add sprouts and any additional Taro Brand Just Enough cut vegetables and stir fry until the vegetables are cooked to your preference. Season with shoyu, oyster sauce and pepper to taste.
